How to extract and install Premium Themes

After downloading the .zip file extract it to your desktop. Open the folder that's created and you'll see a few folders and files.

  • Gadgets
  • IconPackager
  • Wallpaper
  • WindowBlinds

Follow along the instructions below by watching this video: http://sd.stardock.com/brad.ather/Jingimages/PremThem.swf

  1. The IconPackager and WindowBlinds files will require those applications to use the theme files. The easiest way to install these (.ip and .wba) files is to double click them and they will install automatically (again, as long as those applications are installed).
  2. For the Wallpaper folder, navigate to your Pictures directory and create a folder called Wallpapers. Inside that directory you can place your new theme's Wallpaper folder and rename it to the theme's name. It's up to you to direct the application(WindowBlinds/DeskScapes) to that folder to use those wallpapers.
  3. For Gadgets, placing the folder in your Documents will work. To have these gadgets work upon startup, you will need to create shortcuts from the gadgets and place those shortcuts in the Startup folder. The Clock and/or Weather.exe* within the gadgets folders needs to stay with the AppData and SDPlugins folder for it to work. After you've installed the files, placed your gadgets, and moved your wallpapers, you no longer need the zip/folder you extracted. You may delete them.

*The premium theme you downloaded will most likely have a Theme_Name_Weather.exe file that when run, will display the weather.
